Stephanie Gottlieb - Confident and Chic
Stephanie was nominated by Sheera Goren. She says about the Ladybadass:
Quote from the Ladybadass: "You have to shine from within before you can sparkle from the outside."
Why do you think she's a Ladybadass?: Stephanie has built an incredible following for her jewelry all on her own. She’s determined, business savvy and a humble human who started with a passion and grew it into a business. I admire her confidence in herself!
Now from the LBA herself:
What are your “and” words and why? Confident and Chic. I chose confident because the confidence I've had in my abilities to start a company and make it a success are what drove me to leave my last job and choose this entrepreneurial path. I've never been happier with my decision to follow my gut. I chose chic because I really think that if you put the effort into making yourself look put together and poised, people will respect you for that effort.
What you are known for saying / a quote from you. “Good things come to those who hustle." I have always been a type A perfectionist and while not everything comes easily to me, I work through my weaknesses to improve myself every day. I think that the "hustle" is what made my company a success, and I truly respect anyone else who shows that same zeal to succeed.
Which other Ladybadasses inspire you and why? Rachel Zoe is an inspiration to me—she built an empire, has a beautiful family, and always looks impeccably put together.
When did you first realize that you had some ladybadassery in you? When I left my last job, working for a family of four men, it inspired me to be a ladybadass and take charge of my own destiny. I was tired of being told what to do, and felt like I could do things in a much better and more efficient way on my own.
What keeps you motivated on days when you aren't quite feeling like a ladybadass? My husband and my sister keep me going, and now my son Jordan. My family is so supportive mentally and physically—my sister works for me, and they inspire me to keep pushing forward, and to fulfill my potential.
What is your advice to other women who are trying to tap into their ladybadassery? I think it’s important to find inspiration in others around you, and to pursue something that you love.
